Darby Goode and Patrick Qualter charged with appearing in arms on Easter Tuesday, stopping the carriage of the Venerable Archdeacon Butson and serving him with a most violet Terry Alt notice. Found guilty and sentenced to 14 years transportation. Goode received a most excellent character from Father Mick Cowen who also proved an alibi for him.
